Th production of the plastic bottles to meet our demand for bottled water requires about 17.6 million barrels of oil, not inclusive of transportation costs. That equals the amount of oil that is capable of fueling more than one million of of vehicles each year. Now that’s a lot of oil wastage!

It’s waste of water too. It can take nearly 7 times of the amount of water in the bottle to actually make the bottle. Just for one bottle. You can imagine the amount of water we’re wasting yourself. That’s a lot, don’t you think?

If it is sourced from the same municipal tap water, do you think it is worth paying extra for bottled water? An ounce of bottled water costs you about 5 cents. It happens with low-grade water bottles. This is a common problem in underdeveloped countries. Companies do not think about quality of water bottles, forget about water itself.

That is disgusting. These water bottle packaging companies should not do it. As I told before in my comments that these type of things happens in Underdeveloped countries which worsen the effects of bottled water on people. I hope you are not drinking it any more.

And this are definitely the reasons why I’ve switched to stainless steel water bottles. They are more convenient than those drinking bottles made from plastic, plus, they are also safer from toxic contamination.
