      Yes I too was wondering this. I thought that any of the twisting poses would increase the blood flow to the abdominal region, and therefore reduce stomach fat.

    In the yoga classes I’ve taken the first asana is called downward facing dog. Mountain pose is done standing upright.

    Will any of these poses cause lower back pain or back pain in general? My back is a bit sensitive. Pls advise. And how many times do we repeat each pose and for how long ( in the beginning and later) ?
